Kavinder Gupta, Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, has strongly condemned the recent statement by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who called for a “resolution of the Kashmir issue” through dialogue between India and Pakistan while taking into account the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Slamming Erdogan’s remarks as “unwarranted interference,” the senior BJP leader asserted that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, and no foreign power has the right to dictate terms on India’s internal affairs. He emphasized that such statements disregard the historical and constitutional realities of J&K and amount to an attack on India’s sovereignty.
“India has always maintained that Jammu and Kashmir is an inalienable part of the country, and any attempt to internationalize the matter is futile. The world must recognize that the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019 has ushered in a new era of peace, development, and integration in the region,” he stated.
The former Deputy Chief Minister further added that Turkey should focus on its own internal issues rather than meddling in India’s affairs. He pointed out that India has a robust democratic framework, and its policies concerning J&K are aimed at ensuring stability, economic growth, and the well-being of its citizens.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has brought unprecedented development to Jammu and Kashmir. The people of the region have rejected separatist narratives and embraced the vision of a progressive and inclusive India. Any attempt to question India’s sovereignty over J&K is unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” he asserted.
Later, Kavinder Gupta participated in a crucial meeting chaired by J&K BJP President Sat Sharma at the party headquarters in Jammu. The meeting focused on organizational matters, upcoming party programs, and strategies to strengthen BJP’s outreach at the grassroots level. Kavinder reiterated BJP’s commitment to the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring that the vision of a ‘Naya J&K’ under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi continues to shape the region’s destiny.
