As part of its ongoing efforts to educate and empower the local population, the Indian Army organized an insightful lecture on Government Welfare Schemes in Bihota on February 15, 2025. The initiative aimed to enhance awareness about various government programs designed to provide skill development, financial assistance, and employment opportunities, particularly for youth and marginalized communities.
During the session, an officer of the Indian Army elaborated on key welfare schemes, focusing on their objectives, benefits, and application procedures. He provided detailed insights into significant initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), which offers skill training to youth for enhanced employability, and financial assistance programs for vocational training, aimed at fostering self-reliance. Additionally, he discussed Vidya Kaushal, an educational support scheme, and various skill development programs tailored for minorities, ensuring equal access to opportunities for all sections of society.
The interactive session served as a valuable platform for the 47 youth and locals who attended, enabling them to gain a clearer understanding of the numerous government schemes available for their benefit. The officer emphasized the importance of skill-based education and training, urging the attendees to take full advantage of these initiatives to build sustainable careers and contribute positively to society.
Participants expressed their gratitude for the informative session, acknowledging that such initiatives play a crucial role in guiding the younger generation toward productive paths.
They highlighted how the lecture provided clarity on government support mechanisms, which are often underutilized due to a lack of awareness. Several attendees shared that they felt more confident in exploring career and education opportunities after learning about these beneficial programs.
This initiative by the Indian Army not only bridged the knowledge gap but also reinforced the Army’s commitment to community welfare and youth empowerment.
By equipping local youth with the necessary information and resources, the event successfully contributed to fostering self-sufficiency and promoting informed decision-making among the participants.
The Indian Army remains dedicated to organizing such awareness programs in remote areas, ensuring that every individual, regardless of background, has access to government benefits that can uplift their social and economic status.
