Theatre enthusiasts in New Delhi were treated to a mesmerizing street play by the artists of Hima Kaul Kalanidhi, the theatre troupe of acclaimed actress Bhasha Sumbli. The performance, held at Lohan Park in Palaura, was a significant part of the Vishwa-Jan-Rang program, an initiative of the prestigious international theatre festival Bharat Rang Mahotsav, organized by the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi.
The street play, based on the Pancham Veda-the ancient Indian treatise on drama known as Natyashastra-offered a profound exploration of the essence and impact of theatre.
