The Indian Army hosted the local Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities at Lancha, Reasi, bringing together local youth from the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities in Budhan. This initiative aimed to create a platform for open dialogue, allowing participants to express their concerns and discuss various challenges faced by their communities while exploring opportunities for regional development.
During the interaction, attendees candidly shared pressing issues such as unemployment, access to education, and infrastructure deficiencies. Significant focus was placed on overcoming challenges collaboratively, with discussions centered on the development of the area, addressing security gaps, and maintaining harmony among diverse community groups. The Indian Army officials encouraged participants to voice their perspectives and propose actionable solutions to foster positive change.
The interaction was part of the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to engage with local communities by working together to identify and tackle challenges such as security concerns and developmental needs, aiming to build a more secure and harmonious future for Budhan.

A total of 30 Gujjar and Bakkarwal individuals from various walks of life, from Lancha and nearby villages, participated in the event.
