District Police Poonch Started 5-Day Course on New Criminal Laws

05 days crash course on new criminal laws commenced today at (DTC) DPL Poonch. In which Police officers/officials have attended the above said course. The primary objective of the course is to understand the theme behind the New Criminal Laws with an emphasis on significant changes. The necessary knowledge and understanding of these new laws, ensuring they are well-prepared to address contemporary challenges in law enforcement. In addition, the participants were made aware by the chairing officers about the comparisons of old and new laws. Officers/ officials had the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, enhancing their comprehension and application of the new laws. This initiative underscores the commitment of Police to provide comprehensive and relevant training to its personnel, ensuring they remain at the forefront of law enforcement practices. Beisde this the role of other important portals in policing such as Crime and Crimnal Tracking Network & System (CCTNS),e-Summons, e-Sakshya, ICJS (Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System), ITSSO (Investigation Tracking System for Sexual Offences) and POCSO (Proctection of Childeren from Sexual Offence) was also briefed among the participants.
The course was formally inaugurated by DySP DAR DPL Poonch under the supervision of SSP Poonch who in his inaugural address, briefed the participating officers/officials and emphasized upon them to gain knowledge of all the three new Criminal Laws viz. Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita-2023 and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023 which effective july 01, 2024 and important online portals for their proper use on ground after implementation of these Laws.
