The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) leadership, under the esteemed Leadership of Chairman Haji Mushtaq Ahmed Darial,President Mohammad Sadiq Baqal, General Secretary Mohammad Altaf Dar, and Treasurer Showkat Ahmed Bhat, has wholeheartedly welcomed the J&K Bank’s One-Time Settlement Scheme (SOTS-2024) for Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and Restructured Loan Accounts (RLAs), titled “Karz Se Mukti.”
The initiative was also supported by prominent trade leaders, including Umer Mukhtar Bhat (Head, Market Strengthening,Bazar, and Affiliation Committee), including Prominent Leaders Sheeraz Ahmed, Showkat Ahmed Bhat, Ghulam Rasool Shah, Bashir Ahmed Siraj, Haji Mohammad Salim Khan, Haji Nissar Ahmed Mir, Ayjaz Ahmed Mir, Shahid Hussain Mir, Haji Mushtaq Ahmed Saghar, Bilal Ahmed, Haji Altaf Hussain Dar, Rayees Ahmed, Feroz Ahmed, Mehraj Ud Din, Mohammad Yaseen, Zahoor Ahmed Sheikh, Khalid Sidiq Dar, Mushtaq Ahmed Degloo, Sheikh Hilal Ahmed, S.A. The KTMF leadership appreciated the scheme as a positive step toward alleviating the financial distress faced by small and medium businesses in Jammu and Kashmir. They emphasized that the initiative provides a much-needed lifeline to traders and entrepreneurs struggling with debt burdens, helping them revive their businesses and contribute to economic growth.
KTMF urged traders and business owners to utilize this opportunity and avail themselves of the scheme to restructure their financial liabilities. The Federation also called on the authorities to ensure a seamless implementation of the scheme and provide necessary assistance to beneficiaries.
