In compliance with the directions of the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K, the 2nd Joint Working Committee (JWC) meeting was held today in district Kishtwar.
The meeting was chaired by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pawan Kotwal.
At the outset, the Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal presented an overview of the department’s profile in the district, including the details of various M-PACS, Dairy and Fishery Cooperative Societies already registered. He also highlighted the progress achieved since the 1st Joint Working Committee (JWC) meeting.
The ADDC emphasized the need to optimize the existing M-PACS, Dairy, and Fishery Cooperatives/Societies to better serve the public and fulfill the vision of “Sahakar Se Samriddhi.” He further directed the registration of one M-PACS in the Mughalmaidan block within the current financial year. The ADDC also stressed the importance of engaging beneficiaries from line departments to register new M-PACS, Dairy and Fishery Cooperative Societies.
He instructed the Department of Fisheries to register 03 new Fishery Cooperatives/Societies and the Department of Animal Husbandry, Kishtwar to register 08 new Dairy Cooperative Societies in underserved or uncovered Gram Panchayats.
Additionally, the Chair directed the Branch Manager Jammu Central Cooperative Bank, Kishtwar, to open bank accounts for the newly registered Dairy and Fishery Cooperatives/Societies to streamline their financial operations.
The meeting was attended by AD Fisheries, Kishtwar; CAHO, Kishtwar; Assistant Registrar of the District and Branch Manager, JCC Bank, Kishtwar.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chair by the Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Kishtwar.
