In a major breakthrough against drug abuse, the police party of Police Station Poonch apprehended an individual identified as Rajat Kapoor, son of Rahul Kapoor, resident of Dungus, after receiving information from a reliable source and simultaneously after checking and frisking operation at the Shankar nagar near shamshan ghat Poonch.
During the operation, approximately 4.5 grams of a heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered from his possession. The recovered substance has been seized, and a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the law.
The accused has been arrested and during sustained questioning disclosed some valuable information, further investigation initiated to ascertain the source of the contraband and identify any further potential links to a larger network involved in drug trafficking.
The Poonch Police remain committed to eradicating the menace of drug abuse and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
