J&K BJP paid floral tributes to Ch. Piara Singh ji, former MLA & veteran leader of BJP, in a ‘Shradhanjali Sabha’ programme organized at party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Family members of Ch. Piara Singh and hundreds of party leaders attended the Shradhanjali Sabha in the jampacked hall.
Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, while paying tributes, said that Ch. Piara Singh ji, a prominent political and social figure, stood tall as an example as how to take care of family, community, and society with equal passion which should be followed by all the political and social workers. Speaking about the organizational ethics of the tall leader, he said that Ch. Piara Singh promoted all the deserving persons in the organization for the benefit of the party and society.
Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization) said that Ch. Piara Singh ji worked as a social activist for his whole life, and served his community, society, and the state with dedication. Ch. Piara Singh was deeply respected for his unwavering dedication to public service and welfare of the community, he said and added that Choudhary ji dedicated his whole life and even directed his family for the welfare of the society.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa, son of late Ch. Piara Singh said that his father lived a life full of struggles when he lost his father in his earlier life and had to support the whole family. He said that his father entered the political life to represent Jammu against the anti-Jammu politics of NC. He shared instances like not allowing the renaming of the 4th Tawi Bridge. He served as the President of Jat Sabha, All J&K Motor Transport Association and All J&K Motors Financiers Association, showcasing his leadership excellence; Randhawa added.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP, shared the political role of Ch. Piara Singh ji and shared many instances. He said that he was concerned about the society even during his last days.
Er Ghulam Ali Khatana, MP, Rajya Sabha, spoke on the clear vision of Ch. Piara Singh ji on the public welfare schemes and tasks. He always advocated to speak for the people.
Ravinder Raina, former President J&K BJP, said that Ch Piara Singh ji is admired among all his political colleagues for his bold but adorable nature.
Kavinder Gupta, former Dy CM, threw light on the political role of Ch. Piara Singh ji said that we have to learn from his life and working style.
Sham Lal Sharma, Vice-President, J&K BJP spoke on the contribution of Ch. Piara Singh ji in the Jat community along with the whole society.
Surjit Singh Salathia, Vice-President, remembered the bold steps for the welfare of society by Ch Piara Singh ji.
Chander Prakash Ganga praised Ch Piara Singh ji for vigorously representing his people. Sunil Sethi spoke on the relevance of political vision of Ch Piara Singh ji. Baldev Billawaria praised him for his proactive social life. Suresh Jamwal said that Ch. Piara Singh ji assumed the role of Messiah for the poor.
