Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu, held its prestigious Investiture Ceremony with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The event marked a significant milestone, as the newly elected student council took charge of their responsibilities for the academic session.
The event was graced by the presence of Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak ji, Honorable Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust, former minister, and president of Dogra Sadar Sabha, as the Chief Guest. Parents, teachers, and students also attended in large numbers, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome by Mrs. Eisha Gupta, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp and a captivating rendition of Vande Mataram by Mr. Mukesh.
The Chief Guest of the ceremony congratulated the newly inducted council members and encouraged them to lead by example. He encouraged the students to pursue academic excellence, maintain discipline, and contribute positively to society. His words of wisdom and personal experiences left a lasting impression on all present.
The Managing Director of the school Kr. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak in his inspiring speech, emphasized the importance of leadership, responsibility, and teamwork. He addressed the students by saying, “The Investiture Ceremony marks an important milestone in the educational journey, empowering them to take on leadership roles and make a difference.”
In her motivational address, the Principal of DHSS, Mrs Devinder Kour, emphasized the significance of leadership and responsibility, stating, “Leadership is not about titles or positions, but about influence and action. She felt immense pride in witnessing the development of the students of DHSS as responsible leaders.
The highlight of the event was the official swearing-in of the newly elected student council members, who took an oath to uphold the school’s values, lead with integrity, and contribute to its continued growth and excellence.
The program also featured a melodious group song by the students of the school choir.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Vice Principal, Mrs. Gagandeep Bedi, who expressed her gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, parents, and staff. She remarked, “It is the collective effort of our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and enthusiastic students that makes such events possible.”
The ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and purpose.
