Reiterates his commitment to ensure robust infrastructure development in Kathua district

District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Kathua, Col Mahan Singh (Retd.), held an extensive meeting with Executive Engineer, PMGSY Kathua Division, Er. Anil Dutta, at the PWD Rest House in Basohli. The discussions focused on addressing developmental issues across Kathua, Hiranagar, and Basohli regions, including the Kandi and border areas. As part of the deliberations, Col Mahan Singh submitted a list of 11 proposed road projects for inclusion in the first batch of PMGSY Phase IV. These projects aim to improve connectivity to habitations such as Deosal, Kodal, Berha, Atheltha, Juthana Upper, Manglore II, Bhaiya (Gujjar Basti), Kurti Kasoori, Simti, Dugan Gran, and others. Acknowledging the demands of residents from Godal for enhanced connectivity to Jagna and Palara via Dhar Mahanpur and Sananghat Excess roads respectively, Col Mahan directed officials to prepare specific project proposals addressing these needs. The meeting was also attended by AEE PMGSY Sub Division, Er. Deepak Kohli, along with his team.
During the review, Col Mahan emphasized the importance of maintaining quality standards and ensuring timely completion of ongoing projects. He also inspected the under-construction Salad-Panagar PMGSY road along with Er. Anil Dutta, where he assessed ground-level challenges and issued directives for their immediate resolution.
The DDC Chairman reiterated his commitment to ensuring robust infrastructure development in Kathua district, particularly in underserved regions.
