A vibrant program was held at the District Registrar Office in Poonch to commemorate the 71st Cooperative Week 2024.
The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal as the Chief Guest. The celebration commenced with the national anthem presented by students from GMS Mohalla Azad, setting a patriotic tone for the proceedings.
The Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Adnan Rather delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the significant achievements of the Cooperative Department in Poonch.
Key speakers, including AR Cooperative Mendhar and Balakote, Layaqat Ali, Chairman of CMS Poonch, shared their insights and experiences, enriching the dialogue on cooperatives. A cultural program featuring performances by students from GDC Poonch added a festive spirit to the gathering. Deputy Commissioner took the opportunity to inspect stalls exhibited by various Cooperative Societies coming from different blocks of the District, showcasing local agricultural products and innovations. He commended the achievements of the Cooperative Department and stressed the necessity of increasing community participation in the cooperative movement through the registration of new societies, particularly in agriculture and local products. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Poonch, acknowledging the contributions of all participants and the continued growth of the cooperative sector in Poonch.
