ADC Shopian Inspects District Hospital Facilities

Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), conducted a morning inspection of the District Hospital Shopian to evaluate the facilities and services available to patients.
During the visit, the ADC toured various wards, engaging with patients and their attendants to inquire about their health and the quality of healthcare services provided. The inspection included the emergency ward, surgical ward, gynecology ward, pediatric ward, outpatient department, and other areas, where the ADC emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and order.
The ADC instructed hospital management to ensure the highest standards of healthcare for patients and highlighted the necessity of cleanliness throughout the hospital premises.
Additionally, the ADC reviewed the ongoing construction of the Critical Care Block, which is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 23 crores by the Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation Limited. This facility is intended to significantly improve emergency and intensive care services in the district.
Furthermore, the ADC assessed staff attendance and reported the findings to Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, noting that actions would be taken against employees who were absent during the inspection.

Accompanying the ADC were Dr. Khalid Abbas, Superintendent of DHS Shopian, along with other relevant health officials
