Giving a boost to the connectivity in far-flung area of Keran along LoC in Kupwara district, the District administration Kupwara has constructed a vital bridge at Keran Market which has provided inter-village connectivity and connected several habitations of Keran with Keran market.
This crucial connectivity has facilitated around 5000 souls living in the vicinity, besides providing a vital communication link to hundreds of tourists who visit Keran on a daily basis.
This 5 mtr. span Steel bridge at Keran bazar under BADP model village was constructed by R&B Division Kralpora with an allotted cost of Rs.55,80,000.
Ecstatic on the development, the people from far-flung Keran have expressed their gratitude to the Divisional and District administration Kupwara for construction of bridge at Keran Bazar and providing connectivity to the different hamlets of Keran.
Locals said that their long pending demand was addressed due to timely impetus provided by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri and Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan.
Residents of Keran have thanked Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, DC Kupwara and Engineers of R&B Division Kralpora for construction of the steel bridge.
Locals and tourists visiting the area said, earlier in absence of the bridge village people, and tourists faced a lot of problems which have now got resolved.
