In a continued effort to engage and empower the youth in remote areas, the Indian Army organized an inter-village volleyball tournament in Songri, Rajouri. This event aimed to foster community spirit, enhance physical fitness, and promote teamwork among the local youth. The tournament was part of the Indian Army’s outreach initiatives and aligned with the broader Khelo India campaign, which encourages grassroots-level participation in sports across the country.
Eight teams from various villages in the region participated in the tournament, demonstrating the local enthusiasm for sports, particularly volleyball. The event not only provided a platform for healthy competition but also acted as a medium to bring communities together. The tournament saw intense and highly competitive matches, with villagers showing overwhelming support for their teams. Spectators filled the sidelines, cheering passionately, which created an energetic atmosphere and highlighted the unity within the community.

The tournament concluded with a closing ceremony, where the Indian Army praised the participants’ enthusiasm and commitment.
