JAMMU, Oct 8
BJP, which claimed to form government in the name of Article 370 by ignoring unemployment, inflation and terrorism, has been given a 370 volt shock by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, started by Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit.
While talking to the media persons , Shiv Sena (UBT) state chief Manish Sahni said that BJP made political gains by misleading the whole country in the name of removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. BJP, which could not muster the courage to field its candidates on 90 seats of Jammu and Kashmir, faced complete silence in Kashmir and could not get full support in the Jammu division, while the BJP state president also had to face a crushing defeat. Sahni said that from distribution of tickets to election campaigns, the command was directly in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit shah. These two leaders together held about a dozen rallies in Jammu and Kashmir. Talking about the issues, central issues like removal of Article 370, 35A and state status dominated. BJP being away from the majority in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is directly the defeat of these leaders. The trend of not giving a level playing field to the opposition parties continued even during the elections, despite trying all the tricks including an increase of 4 percent in the vote percentage after 21 hours in the last and final phase of elections, BJP could not reach the majority figure in Jammu and Kashmir. Sahni said that his purpose of participating in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was to keep the BJP away from power, which the public accomplished. He said that the remaining task will be completed in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
