Rich Harvest School celebrated the 129th birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, the last ruling monarch of Jammu and Kashmir, with great reverence and admiration. Floral tributes were offered to honor the legacy of this iconic leader, whose contributions continue to resonate in the history of the region.
The event highlighted the Maharaja’s remarkable achievements, including his progressive reforms such as the abolition of child marriage, the introduction of compulsory free education, the promotion of widow remarriage, and the abolition of untouchability. His emphasis on the construction of hospitals and improvement of public healthcare was also remembered with gratitude.
Addressing the gathering, Anita Bhatia, Head of Rich Harvest School, praised Maharaja Hari Singh Ji’s visionary leadership, particularly his role in the historic accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India. She noted that his forward-thinking policies continue to inspire generations.
