Dogra Degree College in collaboration with ICT Academy under CSR initiative of INFOSYS by the name Finishing school for employability, successfully concluded with the valedictory function here today.
The Programme held in the premises of Dogra Degree College.the programme was organized for the formal competition of the 15-days Training program on “Premier Banker” that commenced from August 27 and concluded on September 12. The programme was organized by the joint efforts of ICT Academy and Dogra Degree College under the patronage of Infosys Foundation.
This Training Programme aimed to equip Students and faculty members with essential technical and professional skills for personal and career growth.
This was a 100 hours course which included the 20 hours of Soft Skills Training and 80 hours of BFSI training course.
The course had a daily learning and training session of 7 hours during which the students learnt various skills, techniques and technicalities for their personal and professional growth.
The Participants enthusiastically engaged with Trainers who shared extensive insights on various aspects of soft skills and Banking financial services and Insurance. The resource persons for the soft Skills and BFSI Course were Zenab, Poonam and Aadil from ICT Academy. The Valedictory function was graced by Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust. The event marked the formal conclusion of the soft skills and Banking financial services and Insurance. He appreciated the efforts of Dogra Degree College for organizing such successful training programme for the students and satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the program and presented mementos to key facilitators Saravanan Gurusamy Associate Vice President & Aron Dinesh, Project Manager ICT Academy. Both were the Special Guests for the event. Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary of Dogra Educational Trust, emphasized the importance of the acquired knowledge in empowering students and faculty to integrate soft skills and various banking and financial skills effectively and prepare students for the same.
He appreciated the ICT Team of Dogra Degree College for their endless effort to organize such programmes.
Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs at Dogra Educational Trust, also lauded the college’s efforts and encouraged regular workshops and training sessions on campus.He motivated the students to participating in the programme actively.
Ravinder Kumar, ICT Academy Coordinator, shared insights from the workshop’s technical sessions through a powerpoint presentation highlighting topics such as communication skills, English Grammer, Speaking Practice, Public Speaking Presentation Skills Learning, Goal setting, Decision Making , Self confidence , Time management, Collaborating with Team Members, Thinking skills, Banking and Finance, Digital Banking, Mutual funds, Financial Markets Investment advisory, Securities Operations and Risk Management , Equity Derivatives.
Ajaz Yousuf, Relationship Manager, ICT Academy, in his address, congratulated Dogra Degree College for being the first college in the whole Jammu and Kahmir to host and organize such a trainig programme being organized under the patronage of Infosys. The students who shared their experience and feedback of this training programme were Daksha Koushal, Akshita, Manjot Kour and Priyanka Charak.
The valedictory function, hosted by Dogra Degree College, saw participation from prominent figures including Ajaz Yousuf, Relationship Manager, ICT Academy Dr. Gitika Sehgal, Coordinator of Dogra Educational Trust. The program was compered by Aditi Khajuria, Lecturer Dogra Degree College and Amarpreet Kour, Assistant Professor Dogra Degree College serving as the rapporteur for the technical sessions throughout the 15 days. The whole programme was well conducted and coordinated by Ravinder Kumar, ICT Coordinator, Dogra Degree College under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal Dogra Degree College.
