New Delhi, September 12: Sh. Jatinder Singh, a well-known singer and President of the Dogra Samaj Trust, New Delhi, called on Dr. Karan Singh today to discuss the long-pending demand for a dedicated Satellite Duggar Channel. During the meeting, Jatinder Singh presented a formal representation on behalf of the Approved Drama Artists Association Jammu (DADAA), highlighting the necessity of the Satellite Duggar Channel to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Duggar Pardesh.
Jatinder Singh emphasized the crucial role such a channel would play in showcasing the vibrant art, culture, and languages of the Duggar region to a global audience.
He stressed that the Satellite Duggar Channel is essential to protect and further develop the unique traditions and artistic expressions of the region. According to him, the creation of this channel would also serve to connect the widespread Dogra community, allowing them to stay connected to their roots through electronic media.
He further highlighted the importance of safeguarding local languages like Dogri, Pahari, and Gojri, which have rich literary and cultural traditions. A dedicated channel, Singh explained, would provide a platform for local artists, musicians, and cultural figures to showcase their talent, thus contributing to the preservation and growth of regional identities.
Dr. Karan Singh, a prominent statesman and scholar, listened attentively to Jatinder Singh’s concerns and carefully reviewed the representation from DADAA. He expressed his full support for the cause, recognizing the need to promote Duggar culture on a larger scale through a dedicated channel. Dr. Karan Singh assured Jatinder Singh that he would extend his assistance in helping bring this important demand to fruition.
