In the ongoing 4rth Guru Hargobind Sahib Memorial tournament being held at Polo ground Hockey Astrotruf in which Two semi final matches were played today. The first match was played between J&K Police & Rampur Hockey Club (UP) in which JK Police Hockey team thrashed Rampur Hockey Club with Six goal to nil.S Balvinder Singh renowned RTYI Activist and Vice President DGPC Jammu was the Chief Guest of the match while S Jaspal Singh President GPC Sringar and S Gurmit Singh treasurer GPC were the guest of honour.
The second Semi-final was played between Pooch Hockey Club and Kanpur Hockey Club in which Kanpur Hockey Club drubbed Poonch Hockey Club by 6/1. S Sarbjit Singh Jt. Secretary J&K Board of School Education was the chief guest and S Iqbal Singh former Hockey Player was the guest of honour.
The tournament is being organized by Kashmir Hockey Academy in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the guidance of Chief organizer S Ravinder Pal Singh and his team.
Both the Semi finals were suopervised by S Rajbir Singh, S Sarabjit Singh, S Angat Singh & Jatinder Singh.
The Final match of the tournament shall be played between JK Police Hockey Team and Kanpur Hockey Team at 4.30 PM.
S Ajit Pal Singh (Olympian) Padam Shree, Arjun Awardee & Former Captain Indian Hockey Team will be the Chief guest. Other prominent persons who were present over there are Dr Hartej Singh, S Manmohan Singh, S Jai Pal Singh, S Kuldeep Singh, S Daljit Singh Retd Chief Engineer, S Gurdeep Singh, S T.P Singh, S Janak Singh, S Jasbir Singh etc
