The Bahu Legislative Assembly seat has emerged as a crucial battleground, with both the Congress and the BJP intensely strategizing as the third phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections draws near. Two pivotal seats in Jammu-Jammu South and Bahu-are at the center of this deep contemplation, with both major parties weighing their strongest contenders.
According to reliable sources, the Congress is grappling with the decision to field its most formidable candidates. Raman Bhalla is being seriously considered for the Jammu South seat, seen as a popular choice with strong voter backing. Meanwhile, Taranjit Singh Tony’s name is also under discussion as a potential candidate, making the race more competitive within the party.
For the Bahu seat, Congress is reportedly leaning towards Satish Sharma, a seasoned leader with significant grassroots support. On the BJP front, the party is in the final stages of deliberation, with strong names like Vikram Randhawa and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta leading the race for the Bahu seat. Both leaders have a formidable presence and are seen as capable of taking on Congress’ best.
