Says Rahul’s political journey driven by “Parivarvaad,” not merit

JAMMU, Aug 22
Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, has taken a sharp dig at Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of imitating Prime Minister Narendra Modi while lacking political depth.
In a statement issued here today, Kavinder asserted that Rahul Gandhi’s political journey is solely driven by “parivarvaad” (dynastic politics) rather than merit or leadership. “If Rahul Gandhi had genuinely learned the art of politics, he could have accomplished much. But his path is paved solely by dynastic inheritance. He mimics Modi, much like a child or those who are trained to imitate. Congress must realize that leadership is more than just imitation,” he remarked.
Turning his focus to the upcoming elections, Kavinder expressed confidence that the BJP would emerge victorious, citing the party’s track record of unparalleled development in the region. “The fact that all opposition parties are joining hands against the BJP is proof that the BJP is strong. They are fearful of our achievements, and their desperation only highlights our growing influence.” The former deputy Chief Minister recalled how the BJP decimated the National Conference (NC) in the Jammu region during the last Lok Sabha elections, pointing to this as evidence of the public’s faith in the BJP’s governance model. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are wise and discerning.
They have seen the unprecedented transformation that has taken place over the last ten years under BJP rule. Whether it’s infrastructure, healthcare, or education, the development is visible, and the people are the best judges of these improvements.”
Kavinder reiterated that the BJP, buoyed by its developmental agenda and strong leadership, will secure a resounding victory in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
“The future of J&K is safe in the hands of the BJP, and we are confident that the people will once again place their trust in us in forming our Government in J&K,” he said.
