Government Degree College (GDC) Hiranagar and Atal Tinkering Lab located at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School have joined hands to foster innovation and technological advancement in the region. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalizing this collaboration was signed today, marking a significant milestone in promoting scientific temperament among students under the aegis of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of GDC Hiranagar.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by dignitaries from both institutions. Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of GDC Hiranagar, and Mr. Romesh Singh Jasrotia, President, School Mgmt Comm. of Atal Tinkering Lab signed the agreement.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pragya Khanna expressed her delight at partnering with the Atal Tinkering Lab under IIC, emphasizing the importance of integrating practical learning and innovation in education. She highlighted that this collaboration would provide GDC Hiranagar students with access to state-of-the-art facilities and mentorship opportunities, crucial for their holistic development.
Mr. Romesh Singh Jasrotia echoed these sentiments, affirming that the collaboration would empower students to explore their creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and workshops. He envisioned that the partnership would inspire young minds to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, ultimately contributing to the region’s socio-economic growth.
Under the MoU, GDC Hiranagar and Atal Tinkering Lab will collaborate on organizing joint workshops, seminars, and innovation challenges. Students from both institutions will benefit from shared resources, knowledge exchange, and mentorship programs, aimed at nurturing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. The partnership is expected to create a conducive environment for students to develop prototypes, experiment with cutting-edge technologies, and learn from industry experts. It aligns with the national agenda of promoting innovation and skill development among youth, as envisioned under the Atal Innovation Mission. Both institutions expressed confidence that the MoU would pave the way for future collaborations and initiatives that would significantly impact educational outcomes and prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century.
