Calls for Immediate Action to Improve Road Safety in Chenab Region

Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, the Vice President of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party and former Minister, has expressed profound sorrow and anguish over the tragic bus accident in Malikpura Bhalessa, District Doda,. The accident, which occurred near Bhatyas at around 10:25 am on Saturday, resulted in the loss of two lives and left 25 others injured.
According to officials, the private mini bus was en-route to Thathri from Bhalessa when it skidded off the road and plunged into a 200-feet-deep gorge. Rescuers found one woman dead at the scene, while another victim succumbed to her injuries at a hospital. Nine of the injured individuals, whose conditions are reported to be serious, are receiving treatment at the Government Medical College in Doda.
“I am deeply saddened and heartbroken by the tragic bus accident in Malikpura Bhalessa, District Doda. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives and with those who have been injured in this devastating incident.’’ said Saroori.
He said “It is incredibly distressing to see such a tragic event unfold in our community. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families during this difficult time and pray for the speedy recovery of those who are injured”.
Saroori says “I urge the local authorities to ensure that the injured receive the best possible medical care and to take immediate steps to investigate the cause of this accident to prevent such tragedies in the future. The safety of our citizens must always be a top priority.”
Saroori said that he is deeply concerned about the increasing number of road accidents and the poor condition of roads in the Chenab region. He alleged the non-serious approach of the administration towards these critical issues is alarming. He said that Immediate and effective measures must be taken to improve road conditions and enhance safety measures to prevent further loss of life.
He said that in these moments of grief, we must come together as a community to support each other. He says “Let us extend our hands and hearts to those affected by this tragedy and ensure they receive all necessary support and assistance, May the departed souls rest in peace, and may their families find the strength to bear this immense loss.”
