Rajeev Ranjan convenes public outreach programme at Udhampur

Secretary Revenue, Skill Development Department, Labour & Employment, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, today presided over a mega public outreach programme at Udhampur.
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, DDCs, IAS Probationer Swati Sheemar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia, ACR Dr. Umesh Shan, CPO Mohammad Iqbal, Former Legislature, Harsh Dev Singh, former BDC members, other officers and general public attended the public darbar.
The programme witnessed an overwhelming response from the PRIs and the general public who put forth their developmental issues and demands, seeking timely resolution.
The issues raised inter alia included scarcity of drinking water supply, dilapidated condition of roads, inclusion of Gouri Mitti on the tourism map, establishment of Transport Nagar and warehouse, expediting JJM projects, regularization of Safai Karamcharies, quality check on ongoing developmental works, installation of transformers, land compensation for PMGSY roads, inclusion of left-out beneficiaries under PMAY, relocation of cement units in Battal Ballian, poor mobile signals, shortage of staff in government schools, pending payment liabilities under MGNREGA, construction of foot overbridges and flyover bridges, traffic congestion at Gole Mela and related matters.
While responding to their demands and issues, the Secretary addressed many grievances on the spot by issuing directions to the concerned officers.
He instructed the officers to ensure all grievances presented during the public outreach are resolved speedily.
Emphasizing the importance of efficient and transparent public service delivery, he asked the officers to work with dedication and sincerity to address genuine grievances within their departments. He also asked the officers to inform the public about income-generating and beneficiary-oriented schemes launched by the Government of India and the UT Government.
Rajeev Ranjan emphasised to prioritize and resolve public demands at the district level and submit detailed reports on unresolved issues to higher authorities for further consideration. He assured the participants and emphasized the administration’s commitment towards working in tandem with the public to implement better governance practices and ensure timely resolution of their issues.
