The District Development Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Chaudhary convened a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) to review applications under the Mission Youth Schemes: Mumkin, Tejaswini, and Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative. Key officials in attendance included GM DIC Poonch, Khalid Hussain, Deputy Director Employment Poonch, Rafiq Ahmad, ARTO Poonch Tara Mani, Assistant Director DSEO Poonch, Mir Hussain, Nodal Officer JKEDI Poonch, Shabir Hussain Shah, Lead Bank Manager, Aushutosh Koul and others. The committee reviewed a total of 149 applications: 121 for Mumkin, 18 for Tejaswini, and 10 for the Spurring Entrepreneurship initiative. 80 applications under Mumkin were approved, whereas 10 & 4 applications approved under TEJASWINI & SEI respectively.
Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of these initiatives in promoting youth empowerment and entrepreneurship within the district.
He issued specific directions to streamline the application process and ensure the timely disbursement of funds. Furthermore, he urged the committee to identify and address any bottlenecks hindering the schemes’ implementation.
Additionally, Deputy Commissioner directed the establishment of a comprehensive monitoring mechanism to track the progress of approved cases, ensuring transparency and accountability in the utilization of the schemes’ resources.
