KISHTWAR, july 11
As part of the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization’s (JKTPO’s) series of e-commerce onboarding initiative, a workshop was organized in Kishtwar, in collaboration with the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). This initiative was part of JKTPO’s ongoing efforts to economically empower local sellers by integrating them into the digital economy.
The event was organized under the directives of Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner/Secretary Industries & Commerce, J&K, and with the guidance of Khalid Jahangir, Managing Director, JKTPO, in collaboration with the District Administration Kishtwar spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav.
The workshops aimed to provide comprehensive training to local sellers on how to effectively utilize e-commerce platforms to expand their businesses. The participants received hands-on guidance on creating and managing online storefronts, navigating digital marketplaces, and leveraging online tools to reach a broader customer base.
Earlier, Banu Partap Singh, Vice President of Sales at MyStore, along with Prafull, Manager at MyStore, conducted virtual training sessions for the participants who were interested in registering themselves as sellers on the platform.
During the session, Javed Seikh, Business Facilitator, GeM, emphasized the numerous advantages of joining ecommerce platforms and provided a detailed explanation of the entire onboarding process.
JKTPO coordinated with officials of District Administration Kishtwar for organizing the workshop, playing a crucial role in identifying suitable sellers by coordinating with various other departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, etc.
The Administration aims to facilitate the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), create employment opportunities, and stimulate economic development at the grassroots level.
JKTPO plans to continue these efforts by organizing similar workshops across other districts in Jammu & Kashmir, ensuring that maximum sellers can benefit from the digital economy and achieve economic self-reliance.
