The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) in collaboration with various e-commerce platforms, is organizing an E-commerce onboarding drive in District Kishtwar on July 11, 2024.
This initiative is specifically targeted towards the One District One Product (ODOP) and District Export Hubs (DEH) programs.
General Manager DIC/ACD Kishtwar, Phulail Singh, convened a preparatory meeting today under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav here at DC Office Complex Kishtwar.
The meeting was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar, Assistant Labour Commissioner Kishtwar, District Manager Industries, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Program Manager NRLM, Saffron Development Officer, Assistant Handicrafts and Handloom Officer, and Assistant Director Employment & Career Counseling. The chair informed in the meeting that the primary objective of this special drive is to enhance the digital presence and market reach of local artisans, manufacturing units, weavers, farmers, entrepreneurs, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and small businesses by facilitating their onboarding onto leading e-commerce platforms. All concerned officers were instructed to provide details of eligible individuals and organizations registered or operating within their respective departments.
The ODOP and DEH initiatives have demonstrated significant potential in promoting unique and high-quality products from each district, thus boosting local economies and providing artisans, farmers, entrepreneurs, and producers with greater market opportunities.
The drive will include comprehensive training sessions on e-commerce operations, digital marketing, and logistics management.
Participants will receive assistance in registering and setting up online stores on prominent e-commerce platforms, support in listing products with effective descriptions, images, and pricing, and guidance on strategies to boost online sales through digital marketing, social media, and promotional campaigns.
The success of this onboarding drive hinges on the active participation of various stakeholders, including sellers, farmers, artisans, SHG members, entrepreneurs, self-employed youth, and lady entrepreneurs within the district.
Effective dissemination of information through district and sectoral officers is vital to ensuring broad participation from the targeted audience.
All concerned officers were urged to facilitate the mobilization of sellers, farmers, artisans, SHG members, entrepreneurs, self-employed youth, lady entrepreneurs, and small business owners within their sectors to maximize the benefits of this district-level initiative.

Encouraging widespread participation among relevant stakeholders will be crucial to the success of the onboarding drive.
