A delegation of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh J&K led by State President Rattan Sharma met with worthy Director School Education Jammu Sh Ashok Sharma. As a welcome gesture for conducting DPC of Teacher’s to Master’s, delegation members presented ABRSM calendar to wothy Director sir in presence of Joint Director Sh Dhirendra Sharma .They also appreciated the work done after rigorous exercise by officers/officials at Directorate level for to conduct DPC of Teacher’s to Master’s after long time.
In a brief discussion with Worthy Director regarding DPC of Teacher’s to Master’s wherein only 1029 Teacher’s have been promoted as Master’s ,delegation members express deep concern over promotion of lesser number of Teacher’s and keeping others at same position despite they fall in the criteria set for promotion.The number of posts lying vacant is three times more than posts filled up. The delegation members also discussed an important issue of Time bound Promotion of Master’s pending since 2014 .
While addressing the issue worthy Director School Education assured delegation members that DPC of leftout Teacher’s and DPC of other Cadres will be held soon and the department is working on it.The next promotion list of Teacher’s to Master’s will be made public soon after departmental scrutiny.He also apprised members that Time bound promotion of Master’s pending since 2014 will be made public in couple of days.
However, the delegation members also stressed for conduct of ATD-2024 as per framed Transfer Policy. They urged Worthy Director for sharing link for ATD-2024 within days, as many Teacher’s across the Jammu division are serving in far flung areas from more than Five years and should be transferred to soft zones .
While replying to the issue of ATD-2024, Worthy Director School Education apprised the members that ATD-2024 link will be shared in couple of days and will be available on DSEJ website.
Meanwhile the delegation members also discussed the issue of Rationalization of Teacher’s which is still pending.
Another important issue discussed was formulation of Transfer Policy for RET Teacher’s. The delegation members apprised worthy Director School Education that RET Scheme doesn’t exist anymore and all the RET Teacher’s have been converted to Grade-II and Grade-Ill as per their qualification and criteria set by the education department. In this regard a comprehensive Transfer Policy for Grade-II and Grade-Ill Teacher’s should be formulated to bring desirable change in education department as per guidelines of NEP-2020.
After giving patient hearing to the delegation members worthy Director School Education Jammu assured the members that whatever is necessary will be done. He assured members that Rationalization of Teacher’s will be done soon and regarding Transfer Policy of Grade-II and Grade-Ill Teacher’s, brief discussions will be held with Administrative department and other stake holders for framing the Policy for said Teacher’s.
ABRSM hopes that all our demands will be fulfilled in a time bound manner keeping the morale of Teacher’s high.
