Dogra College of Education hosts Farewell cum Prize Distribution ceremony

Bari Brahmana, May 30: Dogra College of Education proudly hosted a memorable Farewell cum Prize Distribution ceremony here today in the Conference Hall of Dogra Educational Complex, wherein the management, staff and students celebrated the achievements of its students and bidding adieu to the students of B.Ed, Semester- IV, Session 2022-24. It was a grand occasion filled with nostalgia, recognition, and festivity.
The vibrant event commenced with the pious lamp lighting by the dignitaries followed by the heartfelt welcome address by Mehak, Student of Sem-2nd.
Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, DCE congratulated all the award recipients and extend best wishes to the outgoing students and ensures that the college will remain committed to fostering a nurturing environment that empowers students to excel academically and personally.
The occasion was further enlivened by cultural performances, including songs, poetry presented by the students. These performances not only showcased the diverse talents of the students but also added a celebratory spirit to the occasion.
The highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where outstanding students were honoured with medals and certificates for their academic excellence, leadership, sportsmanship, and extracurricular achievements.
The farewell segment was an emotional affair, with the students sharing their experiences and expressing gratitude towards their mentors and peers. This was followed by a special presentation by Rohini, Vice- President, Student Council, DCE and Ms.Minal Gupta, Student of Sem- IVth, DCE highlighting the unforgettable moments and valuable lessons learned during their time at the college.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust. He presented souvenirs to the outgoing students as a token of love.
In his presidential remarks, he congratulated and acknowledged the hard work and dedication of students and faculty members throughout the academic year and said that “Today, we not only celebrate your accomplishments but also the journey you have undertaken. Each one of you has made a significant mark on our institution, and we are confident you will continue to shine in your future endeavours”.
Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust wished the students success in their future pursuits and encouraged them to remain connected with the college as proud alumni.
Among others present on the occasion were Dr. Shefali Sharma, IQAC Coordinator, Dogra College of Education, faculty members and students of B.Ed. Sem- IVth (2022-24) and Sem- IInd (2023-25).
The vote of thanks was moved by Shiwali, Student of Sem- IInd, DCE.
The event winded up with the National Anthem followed by a group photo session capturing the joyous moments of the day.
