In an effort to promote cleanliness and awareness about environment Conservation, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, ADC Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar and CEO Bhaderwah Development Authority Bal Krishan, along with ASP, EO MC, SHO and locals distributed disposable bags among tourists at Nalthi Park in Bhaderwah.
The initiative themed “Green Bhaderwah, Clean Bhaderwah,” aims to educate tourists about the importance of keeping the tourist places clean by disposing the waste properly.
The DC interacted with the tourists, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean and green environment for the well-being of the residents and the preservation of the natural beauty of Bhaderwah.
During the visit, the DC led an inspection of parks in Nalthi to assess cleanliness and maintenance.
The inspection highlighted the commitment of local authorities to ensuring that public spaces in Bhaderwah are well-maintained and conducive to recreation for residents and visitors alike.
The DC expressed gratitude to the tourists for participating in the initiative and urged them to spread the message of cleanliness and environmental awareness in their community. He appreciated the efforts and participation of the Bhaderwah municipal authorities in cleaning tourist areas, even those outside their jurisdiction. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that garbage and waste in tourist places would be disposed of every evening to maintain cleanliness and acknowledged the important role of civil society and other stakeholders in the success of the cleanliness drive.
Similar sanitation drives were recently conducted in Jai Valley and Paddri, marking the success of these efforts in the region.
