A special lecture at Govt Higher Secondary School, Sheri was organized by Indian Army to raise awareness of the dangers of drug abuse.
With youth facing issues like mental health problems, performance pressure and the influence of social media, they are becoming more vulnerable to drugs and alcohol. The lecture highlighted how even trying drugs once to cope up from stress or fit in with peers can severely impact one’s life and family.
The Army also discussed the harmful effects of tobacco, which can lead to oral cancer. Residents expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for addressing such important social issues and appreciated the efforts to educate the community on these dangers.
