The Indian Army organised a Sarpanch Sammelan at remote location of Mohubal in Ramban district of J&K. The attendees were briefed on the prevailing security situation & the growing threat of use of drugs/ narco amongst the youth of the region.
The event saw the participation of over twenty (20) members including the Sarpanch, Panch and Maulvis who engaged in discussions on topics such as Healthcare, Social Media Awareness, Drug Awareness, recently launched government policies on rural development such as NRLM (National Rural Livelihood Mission).
The event also spread awareness upon various initiatives taken by the Indian Army for the welfare of the rural community.
The Indian Army officials also sought suggestion & feedback to enhance the welfare of local populace & alleviate issues concerning them. The AWAM appreciated the initiative taken by the Indian Army and expressed their gratitude for providing them with a platform to voice their concerns and seek solutions.
They also praised the Army’s efforts in rural development and expressed their willingness to work closely with the Army in the future..
