The J&K Dharmarth Trust today announced the commencement of preparations for the upcoming Ram Navami festival.
In a well-attended press conference at Trust’s Central Office in Jammu, M.K Ajatshatru Singh alongwith Ranvijay Singh, Trustees of the Trust extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu on the eve of Ram Navami. He also conveyed greetings on behalf of Dr. Karan Singh Ji, the Hon’ble Chairman Trustee, and other Trustees.
Trust’s President Brig (Retd) R.S Langeh and Secretary Ashok Kumar Sharma were also present.
M.K Ajatshatru Singh informed that the celebrations will begin with a traditional Hawan from 10:00 AM onwards at the revered Shree Raghunath Ji Temple, followed by Mangal Arti from 12:00 Noon to commemorate the birth of Lord Rama. Later, a special Murti Poojan will take place at 4:00 PM, after which the deities of Shree Ram, Sita, and Laxman Ji will be taken in a ceremonial Rath Yatra at sharp 4:30 PM.
Ranvijay Singh requested the people of Jammu to join the Rath Yatra and receive the blessings of Lord Ram, emphasizing that this is a unique opportunity for devotees to personally connect with Lord Ram as He (Shri Ram) visits the people of Jammu. He also expressed gratitude towards the Civil Administration, J&K Police, the press, and the people of Jammu for their continuous support and participation in making this grand celebration a success.
Ashok Kumar Sharma (SSP Retd), Trust’s Secretary also informed that this year, the traditional route of the Shoba Yatra would be changed due to ongoing construction works at Raghunath Bazar. He informed that the Rath Yatra shall start from the Shree Raghunath Ji Temple Complex and pass through Residency Road, Rajinder Bazar, Kanak Mandi, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazar, Chowk Chabutra, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazar, Gita Bhawan, Ranbireshwar Temple, Shalamar Road, Indra Chowk, Har Market, and finally culminate at Raghunath Ji Temple. Anil Sharma, President of Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, and Gopal Sharma, General Secretary of Dharmik Yuvak Mandal were also present.
