Says Govt silent spectator, INDI Alliance only viable solution for all the problems

JAMMU, Apr 15
Taranjit Singh Tony, General Secretary of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee and DDC Member Suchetgarh said that the government in J&K is playing in the hands of mining and contractor mafias as the common man is suffering on several counts but there is no one to listen to his plight.
In a statement issued here today, the senior Congress leader has unleashed a scathing indictment of the government’s collusion with the nefarious mining and contractor mafias, leaving the common man to suffer in silence. He highlighted the egregious exploitation of the people of Jammu region by the mining mafia, who are shamelessly withholding required slips of contractors, effectively holding them hostage. This flagrant manipulation of power has plunged the region into chaos, with the Directorate of Mining shamefully turning a blind eye to the criminal activities unfolding under its watch, he added.
Tony said such revelations paint a damning picture of a government that has abandoned its duty to protect its citizens, instead choosing to cozy up to criminal elements for personal gain. The mining mafia’s brazen claim of having the department in its pocket is a damning indictment of the rot that has infested the corridors of power in Jammu & Kashmir, he added.
Tony said that the government’s apathy has allowed the mining mafia to run rampant, robbing the people of Jammu blind and peddling their ill-gotten gains on the black market with impunity. Shockingly, both the police and law enforcement agencies have remained complicit in their silence, turning a blind eye to the suffering of the very people they are sworn to protect, he added,
Tony sought immediate action from the authorities to root out this cancer of corruption that is eating away at the fabric of society in Jammu & Kashmir. The people deserve better than to be held hostage by criminal syndicates while their elected representatives look the other way, he added.
Tony said that he will leave no stone unturned to provide basic edifice to the people of the constituency but the matter of fact is that the people sitting at helm whether in J&K or Centre are dancing on the tunes of rich and powerful with nothing in offing for the needy class which is facing the worst ever crisis of food, work and living since the last over 70 years. He made it clear that INDI Alliance is the only viable solution for all the problems of the people of J&K as it knows the reality on ground and is working tirelessly to provide much needed succor to the people.
