The second day of the seven-day Srimad Bhagwat Katha at Ambika Nagar, led by 108 Swami Narotmanand Giri Maharaj Ji, commenced with great enthusiasm and spiritual fervor. Notable attendees included Pt. Rajesh Kesri, the President of Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K, along with several other leaders from the Shiv Sena party. The religious program, scheduled to run until April 17th, promises to be a deeply enriching experience for devotees.
On the first day of the Bhagwat Katha, Swami Narotmanand Giri Maharaj delivered enlightening discourses on the essence of leading a peaceful life, as outlined in the Bhagwat. He emphasized the journey from the darkness of ignorance to the illuminating light of wisdom as central to human development. Additionally, Swami Narotmanand Giri Maharaj elaborated on the 24 incarnations of Lord Narayan Vishnu, enlightening the devotees on the divine manifestations of the supreme deity. He also recounted the birth story of Sukhdev, an incarnation of Lord Shankar, underscoring the profound message that love embodies the divine. The day commenced with the performance of rituals, including the installation of kalash, followed by a vibrant Shobha yatra. The procession, marked by grandeur and religious fervor, traversed through the main road of Ambika Nagar, drawing the participation of numerous devotees. Despite the drizzling weather, the spirits remained high, with devotees showcasing unwavering enthusiasm and devotion throughout the yatra.
During the Shobha yatra, devotees worshipped Bhagwat at various points along the route, underscoring the significance of the sacred scriptures in their spiritual journey. Swami Ji imparted valuable guidance to the devotees, particularly emphasizing the importance of consuming home-made food and observing fasting during Navratri, urging the younger generation to embrace these traditions.
Notable figures present during the event included Pt. Rajesh Kesari, State Deputy Chief Balveer Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma, and Darshana Devi, further highlighting the collective support and participation in the spiritual proceedings. As the Srimad Bhagwat Katha progresses, it promises to deepen the spiritual connections of devotees and foster a sense of collective devotion and reverence towards the divine.
