In adherence to a cherished tradition spanning 45 years, the auspicious Charri Yatra commenced from Brahman Sabha to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, marking the onset of the first Navratri. Led by Mr. Ashok Gupta, the visionary behind this revered practice, devotees embarked on the pilgrimage with fervent devotion and enthusiasm.
The summer Navratras hold special significance for party workers, culminating in a gathering of 1426 devout pilgrims seeking blessings at the holy abode of Mata Vaishno Devi. Amidst chants and hymns, the sacred JOT, symbolizing divine enlightenment, was reverently carried by sevaks, accompanied by the revered Silver Charri.
This sacred flame, kindled from the eternal JOT of the Purani Guffa, will journey back to Jammu, where it will find its resting place in the temple of Yadho Ram Ji at Rani Park. The procession was not merely a religious undertaking but a profound expression of faith and communal harmony.
In a heartfelt appeal, the party president urged devotees to visit the temple of Yadho Ram Ji and perpetuate the sanctity of the JOT by lighting it in the temples of their homes. Additionally, he pledged prayers for the safety and prosperity of the citizens of Jammu & Kashmir during the forthcoming elections, seeking divine benevolence. Accompanying Mr. Ashok Gupta on this spiritual odyssey were a cohort of devoted party workers, including Narinder Tangari, Abhishek, Lal Singh, Ashish, Ashu, Sushil, Fauji, Geeta, Sunil, Mohan, Nirmal, and numerous others, each embodying the spirit of reverence and unity.
As the Charri Yatra traversed its sacred path, it not only reaffirmed the unwavering faith of the devotees but also symbolized the enduring bond between tradition and spirituality. In its timeless journey, the Yatra epitomized the essence of Navratri – a celebration of devotion, renewal, and divine blessings.
