Jammu and Kashmir BJP general secretary & former MLC, Vibodh Gupta, while addressing a series of meetings in New Plot, Kachi Chawni and Talab Khatikan, in Jammu city, said that the programmes and policies of the BJP-led NDA government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has changed the lives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who had been discriminated and given step-motherly treatment by the previous dispensations of Congress for decades together after independence of the country. He said that the people in the erstwhile state were always misled and given false promises for vote bank politics. The Congress also misled the innocent people of Kashmir and encouraged them to raise anti-national slogans and get associated with the proxy war raised by the neighbouring country to fulfil its nefarious designs on Kashmir. The appeasement policy of the Congress, right from the days of the friendship of Nehru with Sheikh Abdullah, only nourished and promoted a sense of separatism, terrorism in the valley. It was due to the soft approach of the Congress towards the terrorism, which resulted into the forced migration of lakhs of Kashmiri Hindus and other minorities from the valley and the hilly areas of Jammu region.
Vibodh Gupta said that the fate of the people of Jammu and Kashmir changed with Narendra Modi assuming the chair of Prime Minister, as his government took one historic and bold decision after the other, which ensured full integration of the state with the rest of the country by removing separate symbols of constitution and flag, paved way for treating all citizens equal in all matters and at all levels. He said that it would not be wrong to claim that the Modi government has wiped the tears of different sections of the society here, which were agitating for many years to get justice but there was no one to care for them.
Vibodh Gupta, while highlighting the achievements of Modi government, said that from 2014 to 2024, the ten years, have been splendid as new chapters of real ‘Vikas’ and ‘jan Kalyan’ were written in Jammu and Kashmir, like other parts of the country. Quoting one such achievement, Vibodh said that over 25 crore people across the country, has been brought out of poverty line by the Modi government. He appealed the people to support and vote BJP to be part of the ‘Vikas’ yatra of Jammu and Kashmir under PM Modi.
BJP Jammu district president Parmod Kapahi said that no one can stop the wave in favour of the BJP and that the Congress will bite dust in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The Congress is going to pay heavy price for its wrong doings. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have suffered a lot during the Congress times and are now ready to teach this party a lesson.
BJP leaders Parveen Kerni, Raman Sharma, Rakesh Sethi, Nidhi Magotra and Anu Gupta also addressed these meetings.
