There seems to be a good amount of desperation prevailing among NC leader Omar Abdullah because despite chaos and confusion going full throttle among its so-called India-bloc partners, the former CM is dreaming of trouncing BJP in upcoming polls.
In an astute response to Omar’s statement of repeating 1977 poll performance in J&K, the BJP stalwart leader asked the NC leader to stop daydreaming. He emphasized that the people of J&K, and indeed across the nation, have grown wise to the National Conference’s deceiving tactics. Therefore, the paramount focus of the party should be on safeguarding the security deposits of its candidates, given its dwindling relevance following the transformative measures initiated by the Modi Government, particularly the abrogation of Article 370. Additionally, concerted efforts towards colossal development are underway to enhance the quality of life for the residents of J&K, ensuring their convenience and meaningful progress, he added.
While addressing a series of meetings here today, the senior BJP leader emphasized that the people are discerning enough to evaluate the prevailing situation. He criticized the National Conference (NC) and other Valley based parties, alleging that it has divided people along communal lines and hindered the progress of the youth, deterring them from pursuing education and career opportunities. Instead of fostering educational and infrastructural development, the NC allegedly promoted a culture of stone pelting and strikes in Kashmir. Moreover, he accused the NC of exploiting Article 370 to deprive several communities of their rights for nearly 70 years. “Claiming anything and everything for NC party is a right of its leadership but deep inside their hearts they know it well that getting a double digit figure in Assembly polls is a herculean task for them because BJP is bound to win in J&K purely on merits while NC and its ilk are relying on conventional regional and communal planks, which are not going to work this time as electorate today is smart enough to differentiate between their true well wishers and those who hoodwinked them all the time”, he said.
Kavinder asserted that BJP is bound to come out with flying colours whether it is Lok Sabha or Assembly polls.
