BLSKS celebrates Holi Mahostav 2024

To celebrate the three days TraditionalHoli Mahostav2024of Duggar Pardesh, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in coordination Sangam Tru Art Production and National College of computer Education Organized Holi Milanat open Air theatre,Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu today. This special programe was apart of 410th Regular Series Musical Play “Rang Dari Deo”written ,produced and directed by Dr.M.L.Dogra, former Regional Director ,Song and Drama Division Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India and the Music wascomposed by Sh.RajuBajgal, Music Instructor.The Program was inaugurated byPadam Shri S.P. Varma ,Social Worker and Peace Activist , Vice President Gandhi Global Family, Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu, Sh.Yash Pal Sharma, Ex-Counselor JMC, ward no 35, Jammu was Guest of Honour. The Dignitaries lit the Traditional Lamp and KnottedRibbon to “Holi Nishan Flag” withSh.V.K.Magotra,Former Regional Directorof Directorate Field Publicity,Government of India and other dignitaries on the occasion. Sh.KuldeepMagotra, Chief Executive Officer,Volleyball association of J&K presided over the function. Farooq Choudhary, Prominent social leader J&K , Mukesh Singh, Media Person Jammu,wereGuest of Honors on the occasion. The programe commenced with song “Ho Mubarik ManjriPhoolaon Bhari “, “Chali Barsane Khellen Ge Holi”, “Rang Dari Deo o albelan Main”, “Meri Nath Ghari Dey ShelSunare Ve”, “Murli Da Nazara”sung by the renowned artistes of Institute.The Holi Dances “Khari Holi”, “Ras – Rasia “and Women Holi Dances with Radha and Krishan were also presented.The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such colorful Festival andhighlighted history of’Holi” and said the “Holi” isthe festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair ruptured relationshipsThe Holi is also associated with the Puranic story of Holika, the sister of demon-king Hiranyakashipu.Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest appreciated the role of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan – (NGO) for staging such plays in all parts of the JKUTgenerating awareness thereof among the masses about various social evils through musical play / theatre / drama which are still very powerful medium of communication.The chief Guest also recalled the contribution of freedom fighter bhagat Singh their Lives on the day in 193 at Lahore Jail . The Scarifies of these young Freedom Fighter for attaining India’s Freedom Shall be remberedfor ever. K.K. Joshi , Vice chairman ,BLSKSconducted the proceedings of the Function.Sh. Kuldeep Magotraappreciated the efforts of organizers and urged that sports and culture activities should be prompted in the country for promotion of cultural heritage of India and he also suggested that artists and players should be felicitated for their outstanding contribution so that younger generation would get inspiration in near future.Mrs. Karuna Bajaj member of BLSKS associated with Gandhi SamarkNidhi also spoke on the occasion &highlighted the importance of day.
Earlier in welcome address ofV. K.Magotra, MD BLSKS,said on the occasion Holi is a spring festival also known as the festival of colours or the festival of love.and Holi celebrations start with a Holika bonfire on the night before Holi where people gather, sing and dance. The next morning is a free-for-all carnival of colours, where participants play, chase and colour each other with dry powder and colored water, with some carrying water guns (Pichkari) and coloured water-filled balloons for their water fight.Carry with drums and musical instruments, go from place to place, sing and dance., Holi is celebrated at the approach of vernal equinox, on the PhalgunaPurnima (Full Moon).Sh.Dogra also said this 3days festival will culminate on 25st of March 2024 on the auspicious of Holi. Sh. K.K. Joshi, vice chairman, BLSKS said that for revival of our traditions of composite culture the Holi Festival is an asset. Besides above, artists who participated in the programme were Raju Bajgal , Rajni Gupta,K.K.Joshi, Sanjeev Sodhi,Bindia Arora, Rakshit Sharma, DeevamJandiyal, Ujwal Sharma , Bodh Raj,Afroz Raj, Sudesh Manhas, Kamla Devi, Neelam Gandotra, Sunil Kumar, Vandana Gupta, Sakshi Kumari, Taniya Gupta, , Varun and partyand many others presented the enthralled performance. The program was witnesses with keen interest by large numbers of students / youth including artist. Deepak Kumar Dogra , Programecoordinator presented vote of thanks and urged upon the people to join hands in this field to awaken the society to get rid of social evils.
