Jammu witnessed a remarkable morning as the Vishwa Yog Sansthaan (World Yog Institute) ashram at Har Ki Pauri, Bagh e Bahu, became the epicenter of a Clean and Green Hygienic Drive on March 12th. The event, organized by Vishwa Yog Sansthaan, brought together students of the institute, including those of Chairman Sh Yog Guru Karan ji, along with international participants Maria Anna Theodora and Kamuran from Netherlands, and Jean Claude from France.
The enthusiastic participation of these students reflected their commitment to making Jammu a cleaner and more hygienic place. The event aimed not only to beautify the surroundings but also to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
Yog Guru Karan ji expressed his gratitude to the people of Jammu for their support and emphasized the significance of collective efforts in transforming the city into a clean and hygienic haven comparable to European standards.
He conveyed a special message of appreciation to the Prime Minister of India for his vision and urged the citizens to join hands in the mission to enhance the cleanliness of Jammu.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ashok Dogra, Joint Secretary of the Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust, Jammu. In his address, Dogra commended the efforts of the organizers and participants and stressed the need for such initiatives to become a part of our daily lives.
He highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness for the well-being of the community and the environment.
The event witnessed a variety of activities, including tree planting, waste clean-up drives, and awareness campaigns.
Participants worked tirelessly to beautify the ashram surroundings, creating a positive impact on both the local environment and the community’s mindset.
Sh Sham Lal Basson ji, the driving force behind the event, expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and the spirit of the participants. He encouraged everyone to carry the momentum forward and extend the initiative throughout Jammu and the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir.
