Terming Modi ji’s Kashmir visit as historic, BJP UT General Secretary and former MLC Advocate Vibodh Gupta said that post the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, Kashmir has witnessed a new wave of development, peace, and prosperity as envisaged in the idea of New Kashmir. While addressing the Sankalp Patra campaign organized by the Human Rights Cell of BJP at Vijaypur in the Samba district, Advocate Vibodh Gupta said that Congress, National Conference, and PDP misled the people of Jammu & Kashmir on Article 370, but people have realized that the abrogation has changed the whole scenario of Jammu & Kashmir.
“Modi’s massive rally in Srinagar is an example for eye-openers that Kashmir has changed, and we now have New Kashmir,” he said, adding that New Kashmir, realised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, has changed the perception of people towards Delhi, and they have started trusting the Prime Minister. “Modi has become the most popular Prime Minister to ever visit Jammu & Kashmir,” he said. Vibodh said that the unveiling of multiple projects worth more than Rs 6,400 crore by Narendra Modi in Srinagar is historic, as no Prime Minister has come to the valley with such a big heart.
He said that Modi has already focused attention on Kashmir, which is why he organized the G20 meeting in Srinagar. He said that tourist influx has already increased, and there have been no stone-pelting incidents in the Valley. “Modi has built a strong bond with the people of Kashmir, and he is very particular about the youth of Kashmir,” he said, adding that there was a time when people used to say, ‘Who will go to J&K for tourism?’ but today, tourism in J&K is breaking all records with 2 crore tourist influx in 2023 alone.
“We saw Sachin Tendulkar meeting common people without any fear, which testifies the fact that people are safe and secure, and they do not face any threats,” he added. Advocate Gupta also thanked the Prime Minister for distributing appointment letters to nearly 1,000 newly recruited government employees in J&K. He said that Modi will change the fate of Jammu & Kashmir, and people must support BJP in the coming elections. “Congress, PDP, and National Conference will only befool, and they now have no agenda to fight elections,” he said, adding that BJP is committed to developing Kashmir, and these projects are just the beginning.
Vibodh Gupta further said that BJP is moving to every nook and corner to gather ideas from people for the BJP Election Manifesto 2024. He said that the program at Vijaypur was part of the Bharat Sankalp Patra. “We will bring suggestions and opinions from people before preparing the election manifesto of the party, and these ideas will be shared with the party high command,” he said, adding that public participation in the political process strengthens a sense of collaboration between the government and the people. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to contribute their suggestions and inputs for the BJP’s election manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, and we are following the command of Modi,” he added.
On the occasion, All Cells Incharge of BJP Rakesh Mahajan elaborated on the Bharat Sankalp Patra and said that this is the real sense of democracy, as BJP has invited people’s ideas. He said that this is the great vision of Narendra Modi that people are being consulted to frame the manifesto of the party for the 2024 elections. The Party’s HR Cell Convenor of J&K Parmokhs Seth said that the HR Cell has already launched this campaign in all areas, and they are trying to reach out to people to discuss ideas. He said that Bharat Sankalp Patra is a great idea in which the ideas of people are being taken, and these ideas will be part of the manifesto.
Shashi Vaid said BJP is working highly on a democratic platform, and that’s why we believe in getting ideas from the public to be included in the manifesto,” he said, thanking all the party leaders for participating in their programs.
