Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh has reiterated commitment of the Party to empower women in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the press release, a meeting of the Party workers was organized by Provincial Secretary Women Wing, Jammu, Shikha Bhardwaj at ward number 23 in Nai Basti in Jammu District. While speaking at the meeting, the Former Minister said the Party is committed to the empowerment of women in Jammu and Kashmir by giving them the opportunity to represent themselves in politics. He said that the Party wants to upgrade their living standard of women economically, politically, and educationally.
“There shall be women centric Govt sponsored schemes to guide them to set up industrial units and guide them throughout the process and make them a successful entrepreneur,” he said.
He said that the women should have proper political representation in Jammu and Kashmir, and the Apni Party is committed to ensure their appropriate political representation so that their aspirations can be addressed adequately.
Meanwhile, he also discussed developmental issues and expressed his concern over the slow pace of development, and poor implementation of Smart City Project in Municipal limits.
He said that it was unfortunate to see the slow pace of development, and poor drainage system in Nai Basti with poor cleanliness which shows that the JMC has failed in its motive.
He also expressed concern over unprecedented power cuts and demanded that the electricity supply system should be improved especially in the wake of the upcoming summer season. The meeting was also attended by Provincial Vice President, Ex-MLA Prem Lal, Women Wing Vice President Women Wing, Neelam Gupta, Secretary Women Wing, Sheetal Sharma, Senior District Vice President, Jammu Urban, Vaibhav Mattoo, District President, Minority, Dalbir Singh, District President Youth, Shubam Choudhary, and others.
