The NSS unit of Dogra Degree College successfully organized a 7-day winter camp from 29th February, 2024 to 6th March, 2024 at the Panchayat Ghar in Village Upper Kartholi.
The camp, under the guidance of Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal of Dogra Degree College, and Priyanka Sharma, NSS Program Officer, witnessed enthusiastic participation and impactful activities aimed at community development and The camp commenced with a warm welcome address, setting the tone for the week-long activities. The melodious NSS song was sung, invoking a sense of unity and service among the participants. Various activities were conducted throughout the week, including a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak on AIDS, aimed at spreading awareness and addressing misconceptions about the disease. The performance was well-received by the villagers and served as a powerful medium for educating the community.
As a gesture of appreciation for their invaluable support and commitment to the camp’s success, mementoes and letters of appreciation were presented to the following dignitaries Tarsem Singh, Sarpanch, Vishrat Ali, Panchayat Secretary, Dr. Ruchika, Incharge Health and Wellness Center, Charanpreet Kour, Teacher Incharge, Govt School, Sumesh Sharma from Agriculture Department, Jog Raj Singh Jasrotia, Incharge Fire and Emergency Services, Amita Slathia, ASHA Worker, Sunita Devi, Anganwadi Worker, Kanchan Rani, Employee, ICDS.
The camp concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and supporters for their dedicated efforts in making the winter camp a grand success.
