Ranbir Singh Pathania, BJP Spokesperson, was at the best of his elocution while making a clarion call for making ‘Matrishakti’ Atmanirbhar. By providing opportunities for income generation and entrepreneurship, we need to improve the economic and social status of women. Moreover, focus on building women’s leadership capacities has contributed to their increased participation in local governance structures, thus amplifying their voices in decision-making processes.
Pathania was dedicating to public a ‘Cutting and Tailoring Centre’ under Operation Sadbhavana at Dehari village of Ramnagar. Mr. Pathania congratulated local people and thanked Indian Army for selecting the spot for this noble initiative. He said that this project will lead our women towards ‘Atmanirbharta’. He informed that number of SHGs have been constituted in the villages of Ramnagar through National Rural Livelihood Mission. Empowering Women in Jammu and Kashmir through Cutting & Tailoring Centers through Operation Sadbhavna, is an initiative by the Indian Army, actively involved in promoting socio-economic development and fostering a sense of inclusivity in the region of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). Skill Development:, Economic Empowerment, Entrepreneurship Promotion, Social Empowerment, Community Development are the very hallmarks of Operation Sadbhavna with focus on empowering women through Cutting & Tailoring Centers in Jammu and Kashmir which exemplifies a holistic approach to socio-economic development. By equipping women with practical skills, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting social inclusion, this initiative not only empowers individual women but also contributes to the overall prosperity and stability of the region. While elaborating on National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), he said that it has played a pivotal role in empowering women by fostering self-reliance (‘aatma nirbharta’). Through various initiatives such as skill development programs, access to microfinance, and capacity-building trainings, NRLM has enabled women to actively participate in economic activities and decision-making processes within their communities.
In J&K, NRLM has tailored its interventions to address the unique socio-economic challenges faced by women, particularly in conflict-affected areas.
Ashish Kanwar, Capt Indian Army also informed about the various initiatives being taken up under Operation Sadhbhavna by Indian Army in the area.
Swaran Singh, Former Sarpanch also expressed his gratitude towards the initiative.
Representatives of lead departments as well as respectable people of the area remained present.
