Aijaz seeks revamp of development in Mahore, Reasi

Apni Party Vice President, and Former Minister, Aijaz Ahmed Khan has demanded revamp of the developmental activities and release of pending pension in favour of the pensioners in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi District and Ramban District that has been stopped for last several months.
As per the press release, the Former Minister was addressing a worker’s meeting at Jamslan in Mahore Sub-Division of Reasi District.
The meeting was also attended by Provincial Vice President of the Party, Haji Mumtaz Ahmed Khan.
During the meeting, the developmental and other public issues were discussed in detail by Aijaz Ahmed Khan sahab and Mumtaz Ahmed Khan. While chairing the meeting, Aijaz Ahmed Khan expressed his concern over the slow pace of development but hoped that the authorities would speed up the pending developmental work so that they could be timely completed. He also outlined the importance of promoting the tourism sites for generating employment and developing the remote areas of Mahore in Reasi and its adjoining areas.
He stressed on the need to explore new tourist spots in Mahore/Reasi by the tourism department and the public representatives should be involved in making any kind of decision regarding the tourism and development in the above said areas.
He however expressed concern over the developmental issues being confronted by the people in Mahore regarding unscheduled power cuts, and improper road connectivity in remote areas.
He also demanded that the villages without electricity should be electrified by the authorities and the stopped pension of the pensioners should be restored as soon as possible.
“The formalities for the pensioners should be reduced and they shall be facilitated in an easiest manner so that they can get the pension without facing hardships,” he said, expressing concern over the situation that has compelled the pensions to visit the banks and other offices for the restoration of their pension at the age when majority of them suffer from different ailments.
He also sought attention of the authorities for overall development of Reasi and equitable development of all the areas.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Vice President of the Party, Haji Mumtaz Ahmed Khan also addressed the worker’s meeting and referred to the growing concerns of development that has been delayed for the last several years.
He pointed towards the delay in holding assembly elections in J&K and restoration of statehood that has hampered the development.
“Had there been an elected Govt in J&K, the development, and employment issues could have been addressed by an elected Govt without any fail because they are answerable to the people who elect them to the power,” he added.
He however hoped that the growing concerns of the people would be addressed, and the election commission of India would consider the pending demand of holding polls in J&K.
