Minorities in India have got a big respite from the Modi government as their long pending genuine demands were fulfilled, said Sat Sharma, while he focused on the commitment of the Modi government to empower every section of society with decisive administration. A deputation of people belonging to the minority community called upon former BJP President & former minister Sat Sarma and wholeheartedly lauded the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for resolving their long pending issues, particularly related to the Sikh community. They thanked Prime Minister Modi for bringing the sacred Guru Granth Sahib to India from Afghanistan and also for providing citizenship to Sikh brothers through the Citizenship Amendment Act. The leaders also endorsed the opening of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor by which the Sikh community can pay their obeisance to Guru Nanak Dev in Kartarpur Gurudwara Sahib which was not possible during 70 years of the Congress rule.
The leaders also appreciated the Modi govt for implementing Anand Marriage Act in Jammu and Kashmir as it was a long pending demand of Sikh community and added that the announcement of Modi government that 26th December, the martyrdom day of Sahibzadas, will be commemorated as Bal divas, will enlighten the people about the sacrifices made by Sahibzadas in young age against the atrocities of the Mughals.
Sat Sharma while interacting with the deputation, assured the minority leaders that all their pending issues will be heard and resolved as the Modi government has only one mantra and that is “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” and added that this has become possible only after the abrogation of Article 370 as it was a hurdle in the progressive development of Jammu and Kashmir.
