5 Days crash course on New Criminal Laws-2023 Commences

A five days Crash Course on new Criminal Laws-2023 commenced at PTTI Vijaypur in which 50 Police personnel including SHOs, Incharge Police Posts and Investigating Officers of various units of Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range are participating. The course is being organized on the directions of J&K Police Headquarters with an objective to familiarize the Police personnel with the key provisions of new Criminal Laws-2023 recently promulgated by the Central Govt. so that these Laws are implemented on ground in letter and spirit.
The course was formally inaugurated by Shri Dushyant Sharma, SSP who in his inaugural address, briefed the participating officers/officials and emphasized upon them to gain knowledge of all the three new Criminal Laws viz.
Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita-2023 and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023 for their proper use on ground after implementation of these Laws.
Shri Pawan Khajuria, Retd. Joint Director Prosecution was also invited as guest speaker on the occasion who delivered an impressive lecture to the trainees focusing on understanding the New Criminal Laws to address the contemporary challenges in law enforcement.
Among others, Shri Khushwant Singh Dy.SP (Admn.), Shri Surrinder Paul, Dy.SP (Indoor/Tech.), Ch. Asif Iqbal, Sr.PO and Course Coordinator of the Course, Shri Ram Lal (CLI), Inspr. Surinder Singh (CDI), Inspr. Mulkh Raj were present on the occasion.
