Guru Ravi Dass Ji’s teachings inspire generations, transform society: Vijay Lochan

The Prakash Ustav of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj was joyously celebrated by the Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Seela temple in Reasi.
On the occasion, Vijay Lochan, Chairman SC Cell JKNC and former President All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Jammu, Jagjeevan Lal former minister and District President Reasi JKNC; Moti Ram, President Guru Ravi Dass JI Sabha Reasi, Rakesh Singh Raka Vice President Central Zone, Adv Deepak Attri, Jagga Ram and people from all walks of life participated in the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Vijay Lochan greeted the people on the eve of Prakash Utsav of Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti and prayed for peace and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the life and teachings of Guru Ravi Dass Ji have inspired the generations and helped in transforming the society, making it conducive for various communities, irrespective of caste, creed and colour.
The senior NC leader said Guruji emerged as a beacon of light at a time when the society was ridden with hate and discrimination on the basis of caste and creed. He enumerated the great role played by Guruji in ensuring that all segments of the society live with honour and dignity, adding that the relevance of the teaching of the great saint and philosopher assume significance now, as never before. Lochan made a fervent appeal to all sections of society of Jammu and Kashmir to maintain peace and foil all the attempts of vitiating atmosphere by maintaining unity. His teachings are eternal and are relevant for people of all sections of society.
On the occasion, Jagjeevan Lal former minister and District President Reasi greeted the people of J&K on the eve of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Jyanti. He called for imbibing the spirit of love, compassion, peace and harmony as professed by great saints and seers all their life, saying that striving for social justice and equality will be best tribute to Guru Ravi Dassji.
Moti Ram, President of Guru Ravi Dass Ji Sabha in Reasi, emphasized that Guru Ravidass Ji held steadfast faith in the values of harmony and brotherhood.
Rakesh Singh Raka, Vice President Contral Zone, Deepak Attri Adv and Jagga Ram greeted the people on this occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti and said the poet— saint’s message of compassion and religious harmony was relevant in the present times.
