Dogra College of Education celebrates Book Donation Day

IQAC of Dogra College of Education in collaboration with College’s Population Club and Library Committee celebrated Book Donation Day in the open auditorium of Dogra Educational Complex wherein 80 students and faculty of Dogra Group of Colleges were present.
The programme started with the Saraswati Pooja and lighting of traditional lamps by the dignitaries followed by the welcome address Palavi Kumari, student of sem-1st, DCE. This event marked a significant occasion where members of the college community came together to celebrate the spirit of philanthropy and literacy.
The initiative was taken by IQAC of the college with the aim to encourage the culture of sharing knowledge and resources by facilitating the donation of books. In the event, faculty and students of Dogra College of Education, Dogra Law College and Dogra Degree College were present for the donation of books.
About 100 books were donated in the event. With these collective efforts, the college contributed to enriching the library’s collection thereby enhancing educational opportunities for the needy students.
In the concluding remarks, Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, Dogra College of Education said that this collective effort will not only fosters a sense of altruism among the members but will also promote a love for reading within the institution.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Dr. Geetika Seghal, Coordinator, Dogra Educational Trust, Dr. Avdhesh Pratap, Principal, Dogra Law College, Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College.
A formal vote of thanks was moved by Dr. Shefali Sharma, Coordinator, IQAC, Dogra College of Education, in which she appreciated the collaborative efforts of the Population Club and Library Committee for arranging the event and also said that Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college is always ready to organize such academic programs for the students and teaching faculty. The event was anchored by Riya Sharma and Pallvi Kumari, students of Sem- 1st, DCE.
